Clovelly Country Club is just a five-minute drive away from Ocean’s Echo and hosts an 18 hole/par 72 golf course. Golf enthusiasts will tell you that this probably is the most beautiful course in Cape Town. It has an intimate, country feel and excellent service.
Some of the best cycle routes are located around Ocean’s Echo and form part of the Argus Cycle Tour Race (the biggest timed cycle race in the world). If you cycle towards Simon’s Town, you can ride the loop up Cape Point, into Scarborough, through Kommetjie and then back into Fish Hoek. If you head towards Noordhoek, you can cycle up Chapman’s Peak, into Hout Bay (where you can break for breakfast and coffee) and back over again into Fish Hoek. If you are a cyclist, this is paradise!
For runners, the seafront, catwalks, and beaches are all beautiful running routes, with hardly any grueling hills.
Numerous trails are found scattered throughout the Peninsula and many of the hiking routes are used by trail runners.
Surfing, surf-skiing, kayaking, kiteboarding and of course swimming all happen in False Bay.
